A summer resort of former times. Gustafsberg was laid out in 1774, modelled on Bad Doberan in northern Germany. It is the oldest summer resort in Sweden, located on the shores of Byfjorden.
The largest shell banks in the world are in Uddevalla. This unique formation was formed just over 10,000 years ago as the inland ice melted.
