A summer oasis in the center of Tidaholm in Tidan river. On Turbinehouse Island the activities are many during the summer. You can find café, artgallery, handicraft and much more. Many of the activities are to be found in the old cottages.
In the old turbinhouse, that has given the island its name, you can now find the artgallery of Tidaholm. In light, renovated premises you can enjoy art in different shape made of artists both from the nearby surrounding and from outside.
In one of the old cottages you can find the oldfashioned shop August & Lotta. Here you can buy sweet cone, baskets, toys, spices for your snaps and gifts for different occations, all with the touch from old times.
Krusmynta is a gathering of handicraftsmen that during the summer sells and tells about their work. The handikraft feels even more unique as the activity is taking place in one of the old cottages from the 19th century.
The Coffeehouse on Turbinehouse island is a well known place during the summer. Have your coffee indoors in cosy atmosphere or outside by Tidan river. Here peopel gather to enjoy the beatuiful view and a cup of god coffee.
During the summer pupils from the folk high school of Helliden move their activities in to the old storehouse on the island. Here you can see how they make potterys, jewellerys and textile handicraft.
The Bruksville park is a lovely green park surrounded by Tidan river. During the summer you can enjoy the performance from the stage in the park. "Skôj på öa" is a recurring event, an appreciated pleasure for the whole family.
In connection to the park you can find the miniature golf with 18 recently renovated golf courses. The miniature golf has a lovely position by the Tidan river, so you better not do a long-ball!
